
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mike is a documentary filmmaker, freelance videographer, and video editor. He has over 6 years of video production experience and an MFA in Filmmaking from American University in Washington, DC. He is a visual storyteller with extensive experience operating as an all-in-one producer and videographer in the field.
Mike has contributed his filmmaking skills to pieces for well-known media outlets such as Business Insider, 60 Second Docs, Cheddar, and Brut. He has also produced, shot, and edited a variety of independent documentary films which have screened on public television and at film festivals such as the DC Environmental Film Festival, the California Independent Film Festival, Water Docs, the Washington, DC International Film Festival, among others.
As a freelance videographer and editor, Mike helps create video content in collaboration with Onyx and Ash, an Oakland-based production company, for non-profits and charitable foundations such as the GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer, Five Keys Schools and Programs, Disability Rights Advocates, Safe and Sound, and the UCSF Alliance Health Project.
In addition to his freelance work, Mike also works as a video editor for Slow Clap Productions, a San Francisco-based production company, where he has edited videos for clients such as Blue Shield of California, UCSF, Adobe, the Port of San Francisco, and Jackson Family Wines.
